FaZe Clan's CEO FaZe Banks has called out people online for celebrating Kai Cenat's collaboration with McDonald's on October 3 despite criticizing MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul's recent business partnership on Lunchly.
For the unaware, the pre-packaged lunchbox product Lunchly received a lot of negative reactions from fellow YouTubers like DanTDM who called out content creators for starting businesses aimed at fans. Kai Cenat and McDonald's collaboration, on the other hand, has seen almost no backlash from major content creators.
While the circumstances are quite different, considering Cenat is just collaborating with McDonald's while MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI created their product, FaZe Banks did equate the two and called out people who had criticized the YouTubers for not speaking up against the former.
He further commended both products and claimed some people were too fake not to call out:
"For the record, I think both are great. Just some of you are so painfully fake, it’s impossible to not call out."
FaZe Banks compares the reception of Kai Cenat's McDonald's collaboration in contrast to Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast's Lunchly announcement
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, who recently announced his comeback to streaming after winning the LBA basketball league playing with kids, has been making waves after McDonald's teased a collaboration. Within a day, Cenat had revealed what it was all about with clips of him trying a brand new McDonald's item going viral on social media.
In the short videos that have been reshared by fans, Kai Cenat enthusiastically shows off the McDonald's Not a Big Mac, which the Twitch streamer describes as a chicken version of the iconic Big Mac. The launch has naturally gone viral, with fans praising him for scoring such a big collaboration.
However, this has also elicited other reactions. KSI, for example, appeared to be extending his feud with DanTDM and asked him to comment on Kai Cenat's collaboration, insinuating that Dan should criticize the Twitch streamer like he had called out the announcement for Lunchly.
And KSI is not alone. FaZe Banks has also called out people for seemingly praising Kai Cenat for his partnership when they had called out Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast for Lunchly. FaZe Banks wrote:
"Hate to say it, but the same people who were bi**hing about Mr. Beast, KSI & Logan launching a Lunchables competitor are celebrating Kai Cenat’s McDonald’s collab."
In related news, FaZe Banks has been quite happy with his organization's performance recently. On a podcast, the CEO went on to claim that Twitch streamers associated with the FaZe Clan raked in a whopping $12 million during their September subathon.
