FaZe Banks has emerged victorious against Nadeshot in the much-anticipated Call of Duty 1v1 showdown during the Founding Fathers LAN event which saw former players and current rosters from OpTic, 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan compete in original Call Duty games like Modern Warfare 2.
While there were many matchups during the event, one of the highlights of Founding Fathers LAN was the 1v1 between 100 Thieves CEO Matthew "Nadeshot" and FaZe Clan CEO Richard "Banks". There has been much speculation and online banter from the participants leading up to the match, but it was FaZe Banks who took the win after defeating his 100 Thieves counterpart 20-5 on the OG Modern Warfare 2 Rust map.

Both Matthew and Richard are stalwarts in the Call of Duty community, having played games from the franchise professionally either for content or competed in major tournaments for over a decade. Naturally, fans had been looking forward to the two duking it out in the OF 2009 Modern Warfare 2 after it was set up a few weeks ago.
Since the announcement, both players have been trolling each other on social media. Yesterday, on May 29, Nadeshot even made a post on X mocking his opponent:
"Less than 24 hours until @Banks comes to terms with his own failures. Nostalgia has lied to him and opened a door that cannot be closed. I’m thrilled FaZe has returned to its rightful owners but now it will be permanently stained by the shame delivered by my hands. See you soon."
However, for all of the banter, the match was not a close affair with FaZe Banks winning by a huge margin of 20-5. Here's how the game ended after the score limit was reached as his fellow organization members rushed to hug the winner.
The Founding Fathers LAN event had quite a few big names attending and was streamed on FaZe Zoomaa, Nadeshot, and OpTic Scump's Twitch streams, with clips from the broadcast going viral all over social media.
