Twitch streamer FaZe Lacy recently announced that his friend and fellow content creator Stable Ronaldo had allegedly passed away after getting into a car accident. This is not the first time Ronaldo's friends have spread rumors about his demise, so fans have been quite skeptical about accepting the news. That said, several clips of FaZe Clan members like Banks, Plaqueboymax, Lacy, and others attending a memorial for Stable Ronaldo have gone viral on social media.
The clip also shows what appears to be Stable Ronaldo's body inside a coffin with his fellow FaZe members paying tribute.
Readers should note that the memorial service was clearly a joke with Twitch streamers acting out towards the end. Furthermore, the service ended with quite a twist as Stable Ronaldo's body had disappeared from the coffin when Lacy opened it to look at his friend "one last time".
Watch: FaZe Lacy's emotional announcement of Stable Ronaldo's supposed reason of death
As mentioned, this isn't the first instance of a hoax or rumor regarding Stable Ronaldo's alleged death. Last year, a similar rumor was started after his official account on X posted that he had passed away.
This time, the announcement did not come from a social media post. Rather, his friend and long-time collaborator FaZe Lacy revealed the news on an emotionally charged Twitch stream. With a melancholic music playing in the background, Lacy stated:
"This is a difficult thing for me to talk about. Um, I woke up today and I got the news that one of my best friends in the entire world Stable Ronaldo passed away. Ron died, I don't know how to feel, I don't know what to say, I don't know how to function."
FaZe Lacy also gave a reason for Stable Ronaldo's supposed death, before breaking down crying:
"Apparently Ron was driving home from 7/11, 'cus he wanted to get a breakfast sandwich, and he got into a car accident. And he didn't make it."
Readers should note that FaZe Lacy's announcement about Stable Ronaldo's supposed death came after the latter got banned from Twitch on October 19, 2024, raising his tally of Twitch bans to five. However, the memorial service attended by FaZe Clan members was hosted on Ronaldo's Twitch channel as the comeback stream after the suspension was lifted.
