The FaZe House was reportedly swatted, with law enforcement officers pulling up to the streamer's doors during the ongoing subathon. For those unaware, Twitch streamers belonging to FaZe Clan such as Lazy, Jasontheween, Plaqueboymax, and others are currently doing a month-long marathon broadcast to increase subscribers.
However, on September 19 their normal livestreaming schedule was interrupted after police officers entered the compound due to what appeared to be a hoax call. Clips of the streamers realizing they got swatted have garnered a lot of traction on social media, with viewers calling out the person who initiated the swatting.
X user @yoxics posted a video from the Twitch streamer where the FaZe Clan creators could be seen hanging out in their backyard with police megaphones outside the compound audible in the clip. One of the members could be heard stating:
"We got swatted. We're swatted. They said come out with your hands up."
"This shi needs to stop": Viewers react as FaZe House gets swatted during subathon
Swatting is a major problem popular streamers face when one of their viewers maliciously calls law enforcement intending to disrupt the broadcast. The action is not only in bad faith but also can turn out to be fatal considering armed police personnel have been known to enter the creators' houses on high alert due to distress calls.
Viewers were naturally not happy about the FaZe House getting swatted, with many publicly expressing their frustration. X user @yoxics, who posted the video of the moment the FaZe Clan members realized there was a swatting, called out the perpetrator of the crime, stating:
"You have to be so lonely to keep doing this to innocent streamers."
Others have chimed in with similar grievances, slamming the person responsible for the swatting. Here are some more general reactions from X:
"This shi needs to stop how bored can you be to call the swat team on innocent people," wrote @scubaryan_.
"Online mfs always ruining shit this is weird ash," said @mulubiii.
"Thats wild the person who did this gotta be a loser," chimed in @SquidRon_.
"Yes, it's unfortunate that incidents like swatting continue to happen, targeting innocent streamers. It's a dangerous and harmful act, and it's disappointing that some people resort to it for attention," said @sarahwaraich.
Incidentally, FaZe Clan member Stable Ronaldo was swatted only a few months ago while livestreaming with Agent00 and Trainwreckstv.
