FaZe Clan member Nick "Lacy" has claimed that Twitch has reduced the amount of money he makes through ad revenue on his channel. On November 15, 2024, a minute-long video featuring the content creator surfaced on X, in which he expressed his dissatisfaction with the Amazon-owned livestreaming platform.

Stating that he doesn't discuss politics or use certain tags for his broadcasts, which have resulted in some Twitch streamers' channels getting demonetized, FaZe Lacy remarked:

"I go and check my ad revenue, and yeah, I'm not getting ad revenue. I'm not getting the correct ad revenue. Now, the issue with this is, I don't even have tags in my name, I don't talk about politics, I don't do anything."

The 21-year-old added that he went from earning over $10,000 per day per day to "only" earning $2,000 in ad revenue:

"My ad revenue went from $10,000 plus at some point per day to now, like, $2,000 a day. So, from someone who was making upwards of five figures a day, now only making $2,000 a day off ad revenue. Something's wrong! Something is going on, where my ad revenue is not correct, and it's not what it should be."

Furthermore, FaZe Lacy appeared to threaten Twitch:

"If I want to make $2,000 a day, I'll go be a f**king mailman. Okay? So Twitch, if you don't fix my ad revenue, and put it back to normal, I'm not going to be streaming on the platform. I don't care! I don't do this for fun."

Which FaZe Clan members have been demonetized on Twitch?

On November 13, 2024, FaZe Kaysan stated in a broadcast that he had been "receiving zero dollars in ad money." After raising the issue with his official Twitch representative, he learned that the platform had apparently demonetized his channel because he used the "Iran" tag in his livestream.

The streamer said:

"She came back and told me that, essentially, I got demonetized because I had Iran as a tag. As you guys know, in the bottom, it says, 'FaZe, English, Call of Duty,' and I got demonetized because I had Iran as a tag. As you guys know, I'm Iranian, and I've had that same tag for about two years."

The next day (November 14, 2024), Rani "FaZe Stable Ronaldo" also claimed that his Twitch channel had been demonetized. While expressing his discontent with the situation, the Fortnite content creator gave an ultimatum to the platform, stating that if the issue didn't get fixed by November 15, 2024, he would stop streaming for the remainder of the month.
