The ongoing controversy involving YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast" recently witnessed a new chapter. Trey Yates (@tr8ss), one of Jimmy's former employees who currently works for Seán "Jacksepticeye," took to his X.com account to make some damaging claims against the YouTuber. Trey also appeared on a YouTube video by TheAsherShow, where he made a series of allegations against Jimmy.
Yates worked as an editor for Jimmy from 2018 to 2021. Summarizing his allegations (on his X.com profile), he accused the YouTuber of firing him illegally, claiming"
"This video sheds light on Jimmy firing me for refusing to work more than 45 hours a week for him (incredibly illegal of him and his team to do btw). This after he called me incredibly angry about a sponsored video that was never going to do well in the first place, demanding me to lose sleep and achieve absolute perfection out of every video while also putting in zero work himself to do so."
Ex MrBeast employee accuses the YouTuber of distributing Adderall to workers
Apart from alleging that Jimmy had him wrongfully terminated, the former MrBeast employee also accused the YouTuber of distributing Adderall to employees to ensure work was completed quickly.
For those unfamiliar, Adderall is a medication commonly used as a stimulant. However, uncontrolled or unregulated dosages can pose serious risks to consumers, making its improper use potentially dangerous. Trey Yates wrote:
"I also talk about an “internal investigation” within the company that happened for about a week where Adderall was being passed around and offered to employees to get them to finish their work quicker. Again, this was an “internal investigation” in 2020."
As mentioned earlier, Yates also appeared on TheAsherShow, where detailed his experience of working for Jimmy and his company. He claimed that he was overworked and had to put in late hours even during holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas:

Yates, of course, isn't the only ex-employee who has made allegations against Jimmy. Other individuals like DogPack404 and Jake Weddle have also come forward with their own sets of accusations.
