Following accusations that MrBeast had knowingly hired an alleged sex offender named Delaware, former employee Jake The Viking has come out to defend the individual, claiming that they are related. In a post on X dated August 8, 2024, the YouTuber said "Delaware" is the pseudonym used by the accusers to refer to his brother-in-law.

In his post, Jake The Viking said those accusing MrBeast of hiring Delaware were right and defended his alleged brother-in-law, saying he is a good person:

"I understand why anyone would be upset and frustrated over these allegations and I do not blame them. Hurting kids in any way is completely unacceptable. But in the case of Delaware, I firmly believe he did nothing wrong and look forward to the day these charges are dropped."

Jake The Viking added that Delaware has been a good father to his nieces:

"Delawares charges are set to be dropped this fall. Delaware has been nothing but a good person, an amazing husband to my sister, and the best father to my two nieces that I could ever ask for. They want no part in this, and want to just live their lives away from the lime light."

MrBeast has come under fire from a number of his former employees over the last few weeks about the nature of his content. In a recent video made by DogPack404 and Jake Waddle, the YouTuber's ex-team members accused him of hiring a known RSO.

In the video, the pair referred to the person of interest as Delaware, alleging that the man has appeared on several MrBeast videos in the past.

Jake The Viking has now seemingly clarified the identity of Delaware, claiming the man is his brother-in-law who was accused of assault by a minor:

"Yes, Delaware is my brother-in-law. Yes he is a RSO. When he was 21, a 16 year old girl accused him and others of SA when she was 11. Delaware took a Plea Deal. That's why there was no jail time, but he still had to register."

Jake The Viking also explained why the individual is being referred to by the name "Delaware," revealing that he is from the state. He then revealed more details about Delaware's employment under MrBeast, stating that the famous content creator knew about the assault case:

"He was hired before I was, and was actually the reason I got hired at MrBeast. Before being hired, Delaware sat down with Jimmy and Sue (Jimmy's Mom) and explained to them everything. So yes, Jimmy knew. But again, this incident happened in 2010, Delaware was hired in 2017/2018. Delaware was also let go from the company before I was."

Delaware was apparently supposed to be in a background role but did appear on video a couple of times due to a shortage of actors:

"Delaware was supposed to be a behind the scenes Manager. But in a couple videos, he was asked to partake because we needed people. He was reluctant, especially in the straight jacket video because of his charges, and that's why he wore the mask."

Notwithstanding his defense of Delaware, Jake The Viking has seemingly corroborated the accusations made against MrBeast.
