Kick streamer Fousey has posted a short video on X addressing the recent controversy after his management team claimed he had gone missing on October 3. The content creator has a history of mental health issues and the news about him allegedly going missing had raised concern in the streaming community.
A few hours after it was posted that Fousey had gone missing, the Kick streamer contacted his team and acknowledged that he was safe. However, soon afterward, he went live on Kick and insinuated that it would be the last time viewers see him.
Now, he has released a video to address the controversy and thanked his fans for caring about his well-being:
"What up everybody. I am actually talking to you guys right now because I know a lot of people watching this actually care about me, actually keep up with me and are actively a part of my life, so I thank you for that."
Fousey then claimed he had done a wellness check and was announced healthy enough to avoid getting admitted to any institution:
"A lot of you may have seen what happened yesterday, just posting this to say I am good, I am healthy. My team had a wellness check done on me just to check to make sure I was okay. I didn't need to go anywhere or do anything, and it was deemed that I was healthy enough and my well-being was a-okay to not have to do anything about it."
"I am still here": Fousey claims he is healthy enough to start streaming before going live with Demisux at DreamHack
While Fousey claimed to be fine and did not need to get checked, the Kick streamer assured his viewers of making changes to avoid issues in the future. The Kick streamer discussed how he felt as if he had been playing a character on stream for content:
"With that being said, that doesn't mean that a lot of changes aren't going to be made. Yesterday, my spiel of word vomit, I had continuously said, 'I don't want to play a character, I don't want to play a character, I don't want to play a character.'"
Fousey then announced that he would not be playing a character anymore, and thanked his community for sticking with him as he continues his streaming journey:
"I think now I have to meet that with action and not play a character and just be myself and do what I do. I got a great team right now, I have got a great community. This is only the beginning, I am still here, I love you all so much. By the time I am posting this I am probably live right now. Link is in the bio, peace!"
In related news, Fousey has been beefing with Adin Ross and Sneako for the last few days. The feud has garnered a lot of attention on social media, and after reports emerged of his absence, some fans had even speculated that it was because of his recent interactions with Adin and Sneako.
