Yousef "Fousey" had a tense moment with his cameraman on a recent Kick stream after the name of a feature song on his upcoming album was seemingly leaked due to the crew member's error. For those not aware, the content creator has been engaged in a month-long marathon on the Stake-backed platform, preparing to release his debut album.
Fousey had previously announced that the marathon would include behind-the-scenes glimpses into his music-making process. He added that there would be a concert at the end of the marathon to showcase his songs.
However, it seems the name of one of Fousey's feature tracks was leaked when the cameraman inadvertently turned on the mic during their discussion about the album. The streamer, upon realizing that the cameraman was near him during the conversation, asked if the broadcast was muted:
"Wait, how long have you been here? Is it muted or unmuted? Is it on right now? What was it when I was talking?"
The cameraman replied that while the camera mic had only picked up the last sentence, the damage was already done as Fousey had been discussing some of the album's tracks. The Kick star then gathered everyone and reprimanded the cameraman for the leak, which he claimed could hurt his career.
"I just leaked one of my features": Fousey admonishes his cameraman for coming into the room unannounced
In a clip from the livestream, which has since gone viral on X, Fousey can be heard mentioning the names of some of his upcoming songs. Only after turning to the camera did he realize that one of the names had been inadvertently leaked.
Fousey expressed his frustration at the situation, stating that a feature song of the album had been leaked three weeks early, potentially harming his career, because he was unaware of the cameraman's proximity during the discussion:
"This is my career, okay? You asked me permission to film outside to smoke your vape. I allowed it. I had a very vulnerable moment with my team. I did not know you crept back into the corner. I just leaked one of my features. That wasn't supposed to happen three weeks from now!"
He also said he would have punched the cameraman but was "trying something new" and would not be firing him:
"I love you, and I am going to try something that I have never done. I swear to god on my mother's heartbeat you would be fired right now, and you personally I would have punched in the face. But I am a grown man now, so listen."
The Kick star explained that despite the 24/7 marathon stream, he will have private moments that require him to disconnect from the broadcast:
"When you come into a room you yell, 'Cameras!' My life is 24/7. I am going to have privacy moments, I just said something I shouldn't have said. I didn't know you were here, dawg!"
The streamer seemed quite angry about the situation, instructing the cameraman to leave the van they were in and to practice shouting "Cameras!". Speaking to one of his other associates, he could be heard expressing his displeasure:
"We are f**ked, wallahi I said it. They are saying, 'Leaked, wallahi!' That's disrespectful as f**k to my business!"
Fousey has been enthusiastic about his upcoming album and even has an ongoing bet with KSI, claiming that his songs would chart better than the British YouTuber's latest single "Thick of It".
