Kick streamer Yousef "Fousey" has announced that he has re-signed with the platform with a renewed contract. Yousef shared the news on social media along with pictures of him with Kick's co-founder, the Australian billionaire Eddie Craven. The streamer also revealed more information about his upcoming month-long marathon stream as he makes music for his debut album.
For context, Fousey joined Kick in August 2023 shortly after he got banned from Twitch after being accused of taking advantage of an inebriated woman. Since the controversy, he has been making content on the newer platform with IRL streams. In the last few weeks, Fousey has been collaborating with DDG and is making an album. He has even challenged KSI that his song will chart higher than the latter's Thick of It.
He traveled to Australia a few days ago and even had to go to the hospital after a health scare. However, the Kick streamer seems to have recovered, and he met up with Eddie Craven and re-signed with the platform on October 27, 2024. He did not directly disclose the term limit or the monetary value, but judging by the previous deal, this one is most likely for one year.
"I’m proud to announce that I have officially re-signed with @KickStreaming. To my G7 Army and G8 Army—I’m beyond grateful for every single one of you. I promise to show my gratitude by grinding harder than ever over the next year. You deserve nothing but my very best." wrote Fousey in a post on his X community.
Fousey reveals he will organize a concert after his month-long Kick marathon making music for his debut album
Fousey took the opportunity to share not only the news about his Kick re-signing but also that he would be doing a month-long marathon stream on the platform which will document his process of making music that will go into his debut album.
Claiming that he will be becoming a rapper this year, the streamer claimed that his songs would be hits and would be included in the Billboard charts:
"This year, I’m proving that anything is possible if you commit to it. That’s why I’m dropping my debut album and becoming a rapper with a track that will hit the Billboard charts—mark my words."
Fousey then announced that his much-awaited month-long marathon on Kick will cover the time it takes for him to make the album. Furthermore, he revealed plans to organize a concert in Sydney, Australia at the end of the marathon to showcase his rapping talents to the world:
"BEST PART? The entire process will be LIVE 24/7 on KICK / fousey! Every second of my life for 30+ Days. Concert in Sydney at the end to debut the album. Game over."
The streamer concluded the message by personally thanking Eddie Craven and tagging him in the post on X for "believing in him". While Eddie seems to be quite elated to have re-signed Fousey in the pictures shared by the streamers, readers should note that he has categorically debunked claims and rumors surrounding Dr DisRespect being offered a deal by the platform.
