YouTube megastar and gameshow host Jimmy "MrBeast" is in some ways, known for being a business tycoon. The YouTuber owns multiple business ventures, from clothing merchandise to fast food chains like Beast Burger to his latest collaboration with PRIME Hydration, Lunchly. In 2025, it seems like Jimmy is aiming to expand his investment portfolio by acquiring TikTok.
The latest report from the MrBeast camp shows the intention of a collaborative TikTok purchase. Essentially, this means that Jimmy and other high-net-worth individuals are looking to buy and save the platform from its potential United States ban. In a recently uploaded TikTok, the YouTuber explained the situation:
"America deserves TikTok, give me a seat at the table, let me save this platform TikTok."
"TikTok, we mean business": MrBeast and a "bunch of billionaires" allegedly wish to purchase TikTok
For those out of the loop, TikTok, owned by the company ByteDance, is facing a potential ban in the United States due to national security concerns. The U.S. government alleges that TikTok's Chinese ownership could allow the Chinese government to access U.S. users' data and influence content, posing a security threat.
In the video, a suited-up MrBeast shows his "lawyer" and claims that he has an offer to purchase the Chinese short-form video hosting service:
"I just got out of a meeting with a bunch of billionaires, TikTok, we mean business. This is my lawyer right here, we have an offer ready for you, we wanna buy the platform."
Previously, the YouTuber claimed that he "unironically" did receive some attention from billionaires, interested in investing in his cause:
"Unironically I’ve had so many billionaires reach out to me since I tweeted this, let’s see if we can pull this off."
Some reports indicate that he is in discussions with multiple investor groups considering the purchase of TikTok's U.S. operations. These groups view Jimmy's significant social media influence as a valuable asset for maintaining and expanding the platform's user base.
It should be noted that although conversations are ongoing, no formal agreement between the YouTuber and TikTok has been reached as of this writing.
In other news, MrBeast announced that he spent $14 million to construct a custom-built city for his upcoming reality show, Beast Games.
