Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" has shared his thoughts on a viral clip showcasing Naoe's abilities in Assassin's Creed Shadows. During a livestream on August 19, 2024, Asmongold discussed X user @Pirat_Nation's tweet, which showed Naoe hacking and slashing an enemy in the upcoming game by Ubisoft.
While drawing parallels between the combat systems of Assassin's Creed Shadows and Prince of Persia Warrior Within, the Twitch streamer said:
"This is the new game. Now, believe it or not, the studio that made what I just showed (Prince of Persia Warrior Within) you guys also made this (Assassin's Creed Shadows) . This hasn't even come out yet. It's still being developed."

Asmongold then showed another video showing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance's combat, which seemed to have similar hacking and slashing mechanics to Assassin's Creed Shadows.
The co-founder of One True King (OTK) claimed that the gaming industry is "going through an idiocracy" because, according to him, new games are "getting worse":

Asmongold says he "doesn't want to approach" Assassin's Creed Shadows
At the 16-minute mark of the livestream, Asmongold's attention was drawn to Twitch user "ootsface," who claimed that "accessibility and approachability" had seemingly influenced the current state of video games. In response, the Austin, Texas-based personality stated that he "doesn't want to approach" Assassin's Creed Shadows:
"You think it's approachability? You know what I want to do about this (the streamer hovers mouse over X user @Pirat_Nation's tweet featuring Naoe's abilities in Assassin's Creed Shadows) is I don't want to approach it. So, how do you make a game more approachable, but then people don't want to approach it?"
