A feud broke out between rapper DDG and streamer Maxwell Elliot Dent aka Plaqueboymax on July 18, 2024. DDG discovered a video of Plaqueboymax laughing at his music and called him out during YouTuber Deshae Frost's live Twitch stream.

When confronted by Dashae, DDG went on a rant, explaining that he found a TikTok video of Plaqueboymax and his friend laughing after playing his music, and adding that he deserved respect.

Later, DDG and Plaqueboymax had a conference call with Frost, where Max clarified the misunderstanding. As the feud gained attention, internet users reacted quickly, with one criticizing DDG, saying:

Many commented that the whole incident was just a misunderstanding and that DDG was blowing it out of proportion. Here are some comments seen under @FearedBuck's post on X:

"Ngl sh*t sound like a misunderstanding and DDG been rapping for to long to be pressed over this," Zei reasoned.
"I fw ddg but max clearly said he didn’t call it*ss and explained why he laughed, even if he did call it *ss he shouldn’t be so upset about that, not everyone gonna like your music," one user wrote.
"Ddg knows how to make content out of anything," an exasperated fan added.

Others remarked that Plaqueboymax was allowed to criticize Straight Outta Pontiac rapper's music.

"DDG always mad at someone for not lying about him having good music. You’re an artist. You are not exempt from fair criticism," a fan commented.
"Whys max supposed to like his music he has his own opinions," a user wrote.
"a grown *ss man is this pressed over another grown *ss man’s musical preference...," @realwilloxman added.

"N*gga I was high asf and n*ggas tell him stop crying yo"- Plaqueboymax reacts to DDG's rant

After reading DDG's comments under his Twitch stream, Deshae Frost called Plaqueboymax to shed light on what was happening. However, Max expressed his confusion, prompting Frost to explain the rapper's comments. Dent stated that he wasn't sure what happened, adding that he doesn't have any problems with the Pontiac-born singer.

Frost then confronted the rapper on a call, who explained he was upset over a video of Max and his friend laughing when one of them said, "play that new DDG." He expressed his disappointment at Plaqueboymax, stating he is friendly in-person but is trolling him online.

At this point, Max comments on Deshae's stream that he was high, writing:

"N*gga I was high asf and n*ggas tell him stop crying yo."

However, DDG wasn't convinced, stating:

"I don't give a f*ck bro. N*ggas don't play like that."

Max then requests to be added to the call, which the rapper declines, saying he will discuss it with him later. He explained that if you are friends in real life, then there is a level of respect between each other. At this point, Plaqueboymax reiterates (in the comments) that it is a misunderstanding.

After Frost found the video, he remarked, "(The video) wasn't that bad," but he could see where DDG took offense. He tells Max (who called him) that the rapper takes his music and getting respect in the industry seriously. The YouTuber clarifies that he was high and laughed at something his friend showed him on his phone. He added that, as a musician, the rapper should be open to criticism about his music.

Max continued to explain that immediately after laughing, both he and his friend praised DDG's music. He expressed his frustration at the rapper and added:

"I'm not here to beef with nobody. I don't care to do that. I give DDG and show him love all the time. (And) if he gonna see this one little clip and be butt hurt about it, then hey, whatever, so be it. I dont give a f*ck."

Frost suggested they talk it out instead of beefing. Later, the three had a conference call where DDG and Plaqueboymax cleared up the misunderstanding. Plaqueboymax then vented his frustrations on his live Twitch stream, but DDG has not responded.
