Guinness World Records has officially recognized Twitch streamer Doug "Censor" for completing the most pull-ups in 24 hours. The content creator revealed the news in an X post on November 7, 2024, roughly two months after attempting the challenge during a livestream on September 8, 2024.
In October 2024, Censor revealed that his initial application for the record had been rejected due to a technicality. However, it appears the issues have now been resolved.
The streamer shared a screenshot of the official Guinness World Records email confirming that he is now the official record holder for the most pull-ups in 24 hours.
A relevant part of the email read:
"We are thrilled to inform you that your application for Most pull ups in 24 hours (male) has been successful and you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder!"
The content creator celebrated the feat on X, thanking his team for supporting him. He wrote:
"Today I officially became the Guinness World Record Holder for Most Pull Ups in 24 Hours! I am very proud of this achievement, but it was a team effort."

On September 8, Censor completed 9,250 pull-ups, surpassing the previous record (held by Japan's Kenta Adachi for 8940 pull-ups, according to the Guinness World Records website) with roughly five hours to spare. His remarkable feat earned him widespread praise, with gaming and esports figures congratulating him.
However, as mentioned earlier, in October, Censor posted on X revealing that Guinness World Records initially denied his record application, citing his fundraising efforts for charity as a potential issue.
The X post has since been flagged with a community note explaining that the initial rejection was due to a mistake in the application process rather than any issues with charity fundraising. Once the application was corrected, the content creator's record was officially validated by Guinness World Records.
Interestingly, the Twitch streamer's trainer, Jaxon Italiano, is also a Guinness World Record holder for most pull-ups in 24 hours (8,008), having set his own record in March 2023 while raising money for Dementia Australia.
Censor thanked Italiano for his coaching and noted that the trainer is the only person to have both held a record in the category and coached another individual to win the record. The streamer also announced that he will be releasing a documentary recording his journey to the world record:
"My trainer Jaxon is officially the only person to break the record and coach someone to beat his record! Documentary soon."
In related news, YouTuber IShowSpeed recently attempted to break the world record for the most backflips (reverse somersaults) in 24 hours but fell short, completing 660 backflips.
