On December 18, 2024, Twitch streamer FaZe Swagg published a video on YouTube titled My Message to Treyarch, where he called the Black Ops 6 Warzone integration the worst Call of Duty product he has ever seen. Last month, Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 merged, introducing new maps and game modes to players.
While FaZe Swagg praised the launch of Black Ops 6 multiplayer, he did not like the Warzone integration that took place on November 14, 2024:
"This is the worst launch by far of any Call of Duty. I have been playing Call of Duty since Modern Warfare 3. This is the worst launch. Black Ops 6 was good. It was a good launch, good multiplayer. The integration for Warzone? This is the worst I have seen Call of Duty."
According to the FaZe Clan member, hacking in Warzone Season 1 is at an "all-time high" after the Black Ops 6 integration. He said it is worse than it was on Verdansk, so much so that it is unplayable:
"Hackers are worse than Verdansk, way worse than Verdansk. The hacking levels are at an all-time high. You can't even play the game, you can't even play the game."
FaZe Swagg says Warzone Season 1 is unplayable after Call of Duty Black Ops 6 integration due to hackers, claims it won't be fixed till late January
FaZe Swagg is not the first major streamer to speak out against the current state of Warzone and Call of Duty Black Ops 6. 100 Thieves CEO Nadeshot has also expressed his dissatisfaction with the network issues in Black Ops 6.
After complaining about the hacking in Warzone Season 1, FaZe Swagg pointed out another problem. Noting that the developers are on their holiday break, the streamer claimed that all the current problems in the game will not be fixed before the next season, which is over a month away:
"And it's what, December 17? That means, what? They are all on break. What they said Season 2, that's going to be at the end of January. January 29 is when Season 2 is releasing. So we are looking at about 45 days. I can't do 45 days, I cannot."
FaZe Swagg then expressed his frustration about the issues with Call of Duty, which prevent him from playing the games despite his desire to:
"I am way too passionate, I love Call of Duty way too much. It is the only game that I have ever played or streamed or whatever, you know what I am saying? I don't even understand it, I don't even understand it. If the game is in a state like this, I can't participate in anything like that."
In related news, Activision has announced a massive anti-cheat upgrade for Warzone and Black Ops 6 to address multiple issues reported by players.
