Halle Bailey criticized her ex-partner, DDG, for bringing their son, Halo, on Kai Cenat's Twitch livestream on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, without her permission. The Little Mermaid star previously took to X to say that she was out of town and wasn't notified about her son being on the Mafiathon 2 stream, which she "doesn't approve" of.
She also opened up about experiencing "severe postpartum" in a subsequent post before adding that there are "boundaries" she wishes to be "respected." Bailey has since deleted both posts on her X account.
A day after the Mafiathon 2 stream, on Thursday, November 7, 2024, the singer-actress thanked the streamer, Kai Cenat for giving her son some gifts following his time on the livestream. Bailey wrote:
"Thank u Kai for the gifts for halo."
Halle Bailey's latest X post comes hours after rapper DDG shared pictures of what Kai Cenat gifted their son on social media. Although the rapper didn't publicly address Bailey's statements, he posted images of Cenat's gifts to their son on Thursday.
The picture shared on X by DDG included the caption, "W gifts me & halo appreciate it bro" tagging Kai Cenat. The image seems to include building blocks, a Nintendo Switch, and other games.
Halle Bailey says that she may have "overreacted" after calling out DDG for bringing their son on Kai Cenat's stream
Following her previous rant about DDG bringing their son, Halo, on Kai Cenat's livestream in front of millions of people, Halle Bailey took to Twitter on November 7, to share that she may have "overreacted" about the entire thing. Besides thanking Cenat for his gifts to Halo, the singer-actress wrote:
"Yesterday, maybe I did overreact and shouldn't have brought it here."
Halle Bailey further talked about being concerned about her son's whereabouts, especially because she was out of town at the time. She wrote:
"I know that Halo is always safe with his dad. I just don't like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing."
The former couple called it quits in early October 2024 and have been focused on co-parenting. The Moonwalking in Calabasas rapper announced the breakup on his Instagram Story on October 3, saying that he and Halle have "decided to go our separate ways" after heartfelt conversations and reflection.
Adding that he cherishes the love they had and the time they spent together, DDG said that they are "still best friends." The rapper also mentioned that their focus at the time was their "individual journeys" and their "roles as co-parents" to Halo. The rapper concluded by asking fans for "understanding and support" and thanking them for their love.
While Halle Bailey didn't announce the breakup on social media, she kept her fans updated on what she was up to after the breakup. About two weeks after DDG's Instagram Story about their split, on October 11, Bailey shared a series of pictures of her workouts, lounging on the pool with Halo, and spending time in a recording studio.
