Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan "HasanAbi" responded to Kick star Adin Ross after the latter stated that he would have to retrieve a Rolex watch that he had gifted to Donald Trump. The retrieval process had to be undertaken by Ross due to concerns regarding possible Federal Election Commission (FEC) rule violation, as pointed out by HasanAbi in a post on X.
After HasanAbi's objection, Adin Ross called him out during his broadcast on August 10, 2024, and stated that the latter had "issues" while stating he was "right". Now, HasanAbi has issued a response to this in a post, stating that Adin was responsible for breaking the FEC rules in front of 500,000 viewers:
"LMAO I DIDNT WRITE THE FEC RULES NOR DID I URGE YOU TO VIOLATE THEM IN FRONT OF 500K VIEWERS BY GIVING A BILLIONAIRE A F**KIN ROLEX"
What Federal Election Commission rule did Adin Ross allegedly break?
In his post made on X on August 5, 2024, HasanAbi stated that Ross may be going beyond the limit for donations from an individual to the "Candidate Committee", which is $3,300 per election. Since a Rolex would prove to be much beyond that number, it could end up constituting an offense.
The rule pointed out by HasanAbi is also seemingly corroborated by information provided on the official website of the Federal Election Commission, which provides a table with limits regarding the "contributions" that can be provided to the parties involved in the federal election.
While addressing the matter during his livestream, Adin Ross also stated that he would now gift the Rolex to Donald Trump's son, Barron Trump, instead. On the other side, Ross clarified that the Tesla Cybertruck that he had gifted to Donald Trump was a "rental" and was now being driven by his father.
During their special livestream together, Donald Trump revealed to Adin Ross that Barron Trump was a "big fan" of the streamer. In response, the Kick content creator gave a shoutout to Barron and praised him by calling him "very tall" and "very smart".
