"Have some respect": Twitch streamer Clix claims he popularized Fortnite when the game was "dead as f**k"

Twitch streamer Cody "Clix" has garnered attention on social media after a 45-second video from his January 19, 2025, livestream surfaced on X. In it, the content creator claimed that he popularized the Fortnite scene during a time when the game was "dead as f**k" and stated:

"I'm trying, bro! I really am trying. Like, bro, I brought this scene back. I brought the Fortnite f**king game back when that s**t was dead as f**k! When I was having 5,000 viewers winning the finals to bringing it back, having over 100,000 viewers and 180,000 viewers at the grand finals, the best player of that season."

Furthermore, Clix alleged that professional Fortnite players showed him "zero respect":

"Brought the game where it was. But, the amount of pros showing me zero respect that I've seen is so f**ked up! It's so f**ked up because half of those motherf**kers wouldn't even be here without me. And I say that and I mean that s**t, too!"

Clix then expressed his dissatisfaction with people having "egos" in the community. He added:

"There's just, like, so much disrespect going on. It's so f**ked up! And so many egos, bro. So many f**king egos that make me so f**king mad, dude! I get it because I used to be an egotistical kid that was running s**t, bro. But, bro, have some respect, dude! So many f**ked up people, bro!"
