Twitch streamer and former CS: GO professional Michael "Shroud" revealed during a recent broadcast that various organizations are contacting him to form a team for the recent third-person hero shooter title, Marvel Rivals. He has also talked about his intention to form an organization entirely dedicated to Marvel Rivals if his subathon raises $1,000,000 for charity.
Developed and published by NetEase Games, Marvel Rivals is currently #3 on the SteamDB Most Played Games list, with reportedly over 270,000 concurrent players.
Talking about the sheer number of organizations that have been reaching out to him to formulate a team, Shroud stated:
"I have tons of top orgs messaging me to try to figure out a way to get me in the Marvel Rivals space to build a team in Marvel Rivals. I'm not kidding."
"Tons of meetings have already happened": Shroud claims he will make an organization for Marvel Rivals if his Fragathon subathon raises $1,000,000
Shroud has been hosting a subathon throughout January 2025. Titled the Fragathon, it involves the use of a unique frag counter, which will count the number of frags he collects while playing shooter games. The streamer will donate $1 for every elimination as well as 100% of proceeds from the subs, donations, and bits.
Now, while disclosing the steps that have already taken place towards possibly formulating a Marvel Rivals team, Shroud claimed that he would make an organization for the game if he were to raise $1,000,000 in charity:
"Tons of meetings have already happened. People have messaged my agency. People have messaged me. It's gone around. For context of what I said is, if we hit a $1,000,000 raised to St. Jude's, I'll make an org for Marvel Rivals. That will be my first game. I don't know if we will hit a million. Probably not. But that is what I said... There's a chance that it might happen any way. We'll see. We'll see."
While expressing his love for Marvel Rivals, Shroud had previously also communicated his desire to formulate an organization for Marvel Rivals. The streamer had claimed that he may even end up playing the game for the rest of his life.
