Knut is a familiar name to fans of the online content creation and streaming group, OTK. He is a Norwegian streamer-bodybuilder who is frequently mentioned by Mizkif, Nmplol, and other OTK members. Knut began his streaming career in December 2016 and currently has over 404,000 followers on Twitch. Now, the streamer has come out with some strong opinions on one of the platform's leading creators, HasanAbi.
The OTK squad is currently going through its second rendition of 'Camp Knut', a program aimed at developing the physical strength of all the group's members. This event also promotes Mizkif's new project, the 'Iron Forge Gym', founded alongside Knut. The gym is based in Texas and OTK has been visiting it almost every day to work on themselves while streaming.
On an August 23rd stream, Nick "Nmplol" had Knut and Mizkif participate in a history class on his Twitch channel. During the stream, while the group was talking about bringing up children, the topic of HasanAbi and his political views came up.
This was when Knut suggested that if Nick had a daughter, he should teach her not to watch HasanAbi's content:
"As a father, Nick, you can give some values to your kids. For example, you can teach them that what Hasan is saying is wrong and you shouldn't watch that."
Nick replied, perplexed:
"You think what Hasan's saying is wrong?"
Knut responded, leaving no room for misunderstanding:
"Of course! He's completely insane."
The room burst into laughter after Knut's statement, with the streamer making it clear that he was serious about his thoughts on Hasan.
"I like him, but his politics are insane" - Knut speaks on HasanAbi and his political views
This entire unfolded when Mizkif proposed a peculiar question to the teacher:
"Teacher, gay son or thot daughter?"
For context, "thot" is a slang term often used in a derogatory manner to describe someone, typically a woman, who is perceived as promiscuous or sexually seeking attention.
Mizkif then brought HasanAbi into the conversation, saying:
"I'd want a thot daughter, because if I have a gay son, he's probably watching Hasan."
Nick responded to this and said that a thot daughter would also be consuming Hasan's content. This is when Knut interjected and shared his opinions on Hasan. Later on, he shed more light on his statements:
"I like [Hasan], but his politics are insane. He can still be a good guy, I can separate those two... I like Hasan as a person, he's a nice guy, he's always nice to me, but I can still say that..."
Knut and Hasan have consistently been on good terms online, sharing friendly banter via their Twitch streams. Here's a video of Hasan doing an impression of Knut:
Essentially, Knut seems to respect Hasan as a person, but cannot seem to get behind his liberal outlook.
