Controversial internet personality Herschel "Guy," better known as "Dr DisRespect," has revealed that he has reapplied for YouTube partnership. For context, when Dr DisRespect hosted his comeback stream on September 6, 2024, following his controversy over inappropriately texting a minor, he revealed that his YouTube channel had been demonetized.

After disclosing that he would be able to reapply for a partnership on the Google-owned platform on September 25, 2024, Dr DisRespect assured his community that he would continue to broadcast on YouTube regardless of the circumstances:

"I enjoy my time here on YouTube. You know, we've built a nice strong community for years! This is where we started, 16 years ago...2008, I think. I like my time here and I like the community here. We've got the best, realist gaming community, right? The Champions Club."

Earlier today (September 26, 2024), the 42-year-old announced on X that he had reapplied for YouTube partnership. In a post captioned, "Let's go @YouTubeGaming (handshake emoji)," he wrote:

"You have reapplied. We will review if your channel follows YouTube's channel monetization policies. We'll email you a decision, usually within a month."

Hundreds of netizens have commented on the situation, with X user @kyliesmessy wondering if "everyone had suddenly forgotten" about the controversy involving Dr DisRespect.

"Is everyone suddenly forgetting that he literally ADMITTED to talking inappropriately to a minor...," remarked @kyliesmessy.

One community member believed there was "no way" YouTube would approve his partnership because "too much damage" had been done.

"There's no way they take you back dude. Too much damage done," commented X user @Finnn71.

On the other hand, @DavidFosterVlog stated that the permanently banned Twitch streamer "should have never been removed" over the allegations, questioning "who made YouTube the judge and jury."

"Should have never been removed in the first place over allegations and rumors. Who made YouTube judge and jury?," wrote @DavidFosterVlog.

Meanwhile, X user @ziademarcus wanted YouTube to "do the right thing."

"YouTubeGaming, Do the right thing and pay him for lost revenue," said @ziademarcus.

A brief recap of what Dr DisRespect said in his comeback livestream following the Twitch ban controversy

During his comeback livestream on September 6, 2024, Dr DisRespect claimed that Twitch purposefully banned him, stating that the livestreaming platform "wanted to cut" him down. He added that some Twitch streamers committed "horrendous acts" but were never banned for their alleged actions.

Furthermore, The Doc called out Cody Conners, the former Twitch employee who accused him of sending inappropriate messages to a minor using the Twitch Whispers feature. He accused Conners of "spewing lies" about him while claiming that he breached contractual obligations in a lawsuit.
