Tech mogul Elon Musk has fired back at Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" after the latter made assumptions against him. For those unaware, Musk is currently facing allegations of taking external help to play Path of Exile 2 on his behalf. Musk's playstyle and skills have been put into question by various creators, including Asmongold. In one stream, the OTK member said:

"There is no way he played that account. I'm sorry. I think he bought the account or somebody played it for him a hundred f**king percent."

The statement was compiled in a clip and shared by YouTuber Screamheart. This received a comment from Elon Musk himself, who fired back at Asmongold, stating:

"Asmon behaves like a maverick “independent”, but in reality has to ask his boss for permission before he can do anything. He is not his own man."

Musk also shared a private conversation he had with Asmongold on X. He posted a screenshot of their DM, seemingly attacking the streamer for giving creative independence to his video editors:

What is the controversy involving Elon Musk's Path of Exile 2 account?

Asmongold recently uploaded a video about Elon Musk, suggesting that he likely either bought someone else's Path of Exile 2 account or paid someone to play the game on his behalf. Following the release of this video, Elon Musk unfollowed Asmon on X. Reacting to this, the OTK member said:

"He's probably not happy about the PoE video. He'll get over it. Listen, it was so obvious! You cannot get mad at me for bringing this up. Everybody was talking about this! Come on, man! Come on! What is this? 'He responded about it.' You know what's really funny about it... is I saw that. Let me see if I can pull it up and find it."

Other creators, such as Quintin "Quin69" and Octavian "Kripparian," have also expressed similar suspicions. For context, the controversy stems from a recent gameplay stream featuring Elon Musk, where the tech mogul faced off against the Arbiters of Ash, one of the hardest challenges in the game.

Before facing this boss, players typically need to acquire Crisis Fragments, a process that usually requires hundreds of hours of grinding. However, in Musk's case, he had an entire set of Crisis Fragments within a week and a half, raising questions about the legitimacy of his progress.

Netizens have also pointed out Musk's apparent lack of skill in the game, such as his awkward map clicking, which doesn't align with the behavior of a highly experienced player. Despite these observations, the tech mogul has denied the allegations.
