On December 30, 2024, OnlyFangs guild leader in World of Warcraft Hardcore mode Thomas "Sodapoppin" died in-game with a level 60 character, and fellow Twitch streamer Tyler "Tyler1" immediately roasted him. For context, over the past few weeks, plenty of popular content creators came together to play the MMORPG World of Warcraft's modded Hardcore mode as part of the OnlyFangs guild.
There have been several streamers who have died in the game while playing, such as EsfandTV, who has had to restart with a new character multiple times. However, as Sodapoppin is the leader of the guild and is quite experienced in the game, nobody expected the death of his character titled 'Thetusk.'
Tyler1, who has also been playing on the server in the last month or so, was quite agitated after learning Thomas had died in-game with a level 60 character::
"He's died?! He died! How can this guy, he can't take, he can't take!"
Tyler1 started roasting Sodapoppin and the other players he was with, such as Wakewilder. In an animated way, the League of Legends streamer laid in on the guild leader, insinuating that he was a bad World of Warcraft player despite being a veteran of the game and that they would have to "delay the raid":
"He died with f**king Wake! I told you, these guys are a**! Kamala down, delay the raid pu**! Hey, delay the raid again pu**ypoppin. We aren't raiding till f**king May, boys. We're not raiding till May, this guy can't play WOW! It's literally what he is known for. I think he is going to cry!"

Sodapoppin's death in the game is a big deal because, in the Hardcore mode of World of Warcraft, player characters' deaths are permanent. This is meant to make the game more challenging, as players would have to be more careful while playing because dying once can wipe out hours and hours of grinding and levels.
The OnlyFangs World of Warcraft Hardcore guild has had several controversies this year around with allegations of cheating and more. While the death of a streamer's character is not uncommon, the fact that the guild leader died has certainly caught the attention of many in the streaming community. The clip of Sodapoppin's death has gone viral after being reshared on social media and subreddits like r/LivestreamFail.
The clip entitled rip has garnered almost 400,000 views on Twitch alone within a few hours of being generated, with the World of Warcraft community reacting in several ways. In the clip, Sodapoppin's level 60 character, Thetusk, suddenly dies while fighting in a dungeon, with Veibae expressing shock and saying:
"Oh my god you died to a Nova I think. Oh my god!"
Sodapoppin himself was so stunned that he was unable to speak for a while.
