Many prominent internet personalities have come out in defense of Twitch streamer Kylie "thesketchreal" after rumors of the latter being gay went viral online. To those uninitiated, certain pictures are circulating on X that showcase an adult content creator (OF) closely resembling the American Twitch streamer. Many netizens have since speculated that Sketch's alleged prior profession may have involved adult content creation.
After these claims went viral, many content creators commented on the matter and expressed their surprise upon hearing the information. On the other side, numerous creators like Twitch streamer Turner "Tfue" and YouTuber Eric "McNasty" have spoken out in favor of Sketch, empathizing with the streamer and slamming the "homophobic" comments he has been receiving.
In a post on X, Tfue stated that Sketch would remain his friend regardless of whether the rumors were true or not:
"Gay or not he’s still my dawg."
"Lowkey feel bad for sketch": McNasty, FaZe Rug, and others speak in Sketch's favor after rumors of him being gay go viral
Sketch has enjoyed a tremendous rise in popularity within the past year, quickly becoming one of the well-known names in the streaming as well as the sports community. His signature phrases, "What's up, brother?" and "Special team, special plays, special players" became memes and were adopted as a running joke by many NBA and NFL teams.
Specifically pointing out Sketch's prominence within the sports community, YouTuber "McNasty" stated on an X post that the creator may be hounded by negative comments from "toxic" fans for the foreseeable future:
"Lowkey feel bad for sketch. He's popular in the sports community, which is dominated by toxic masculinity and they are NEVER gonna let him live this down. Bro is about to lose his career for being gay."
FaZe clan member Brian "Rug" posted on X to comment on the rumors. He complimented Sketch, stating that the creator was the "most genuine" individual he had met. Going further, he also pleaded with netizens to keep in mind that Sketch was "a human like everyone else" and should be treated accordingly:
"Sketch is one of the nicest most genuine mf’s I’ve ever met and nothing changes that. The internet is so harsh and can put people in a dark place, just remember he’s human like everyone else too."
This was also reiterated by Twitch streamer and X user @NotSpecificNY, who believed that Sketch was a victim of "homophobia" since he was being "cancelled" simply for being gay:
"Sketch getting “cancelled” for being gay is insane levels of homophobia LMFAO."
Contentious Twitch creator BruceDropEmOff had recently made allegations that Sketch is "faking" a mental disability. It is important to note that the creator had confirmed in the past that he does not have any kind of mental or physical disorder/disability.
