Rosanna Pansino has criticized MrBeast's Beast Games while comparing it with Netflix's Squid Game Season 2 in a social media post on December 26, 2024. Pansino is a known critic of the YouTuber turned Prime Video game show host, having called out Jimmy "MrBeast" on multiple occasions in the past.
Considering the nature of the shows, many have drawn comparisons between Beast Games and Squid Game. MrBeast himself has made multiple posts on X replying to official Netflix accounts about Squid Game Season 2 releasing on the same day as the third episode of his show.
In her post on X, Rosanna Pansino stated that Squid Game points out "how the Rich abuse the Poor" for entertainment and insinuated that MrBeast's Beast Games is "disturbing" because it turns the fictional show into reality:
"Squid Game speaks to many things including how the Rich abuse the Poor for their own Entertainment. It is disturbing that MrBeast was inspired to turn this fictional show into a reality. Or at least a cheap knockoff."
"Any update on the serious injuries": Rosanna Pansino accuses MrBeast of editing around injuries sustained by Beast Games contestants
Rosanna Pansino has been one of the YouTubers to vocally criticize Beast Games and released an interview with a contestant who has claimed to have contracted a concussion while participating. The contestant named Amanda Rose, who goes by the online username Eat Like A Bear, has also released a video detailing her traumatic head injury after allegedly being kicked during filming.
While comparing Beast Games with Squid Game, Rosanna Pansino also called on MrBeast and the production team to release the raw footage of the game show and claimed "serious injuries" had been edited out.
She specifically brought up two challenges that happened in the show's qualifier YouTube video, which is a precursor to the main ten episodes on Prime Video:
"Any update on the serious injuries you chose to edit around in your #BeastGames? Why’d you edit around the Tug-Of-War game and Briefcase game so heavily? #ReleaseTheRawFootage."
Pansino also took a separate dig at MrBeast in another post on X, where she claimed Squid Game Season 2 food looks better than Beast Games. This is possibly a reference to the class action lawsuit against MrBeast's production team that was filed earlier this year by five contestants which included complaints about a lack of adequate meal breaks.
