Twitch streamer and rapper Darryl "DDG", popularly known as PontiacMadeDDG on the Amazon-backed platform, recently revealed that his mansion in Los Angeles burned down in the California wildfires, which have left hundreds of thousands of residents displaced.

The hip-hop personality was visibly discontented about the damage to his property, particularly after learning that he did not have fire insurance to cover the losses he had incurred.

Stating that he might be looking at losses running into the millions of dollars, he said:

"I found out this today, I don't know if this is TMI or not, but I found out today that I ain't got fire insurance, so I'm figuring all that out, bro, 'cause my crib burned down. That's just M's wasted, bro."

"I just gotta take the L on the chin": DDG comments on potentially losing millions of dollars due to his LA mansion burning down

DDG is a popular figure within the hip-hop and content creation community. Starting his career with a YouTube channel in 2014, he eventually started producing music in 2018. Just two years later in 2020, his single featuring rapper Blueface, called Moonwalking in Calabasas, went double platinum.

He has since enjoyed a respectable fanbase, with his Twitch channel itself having over 377,000 followers. On the other hand, his YouTube channel, which hosts his music, has over 3.1 million subscribers.

The fires in Los Angeles have indiscriminately destroyed thousands of structures over the past few days, reportedly leading to a burn area that is twice the size of Manhattan and forming one of the worst fires in Los Angeles in recent times.

Discussing his concerns about the damages he has incurred and his plans, DDG said:

"So, I gotta figure all this stuff out, where you know I've got insurance for my crib and stuff because if I don't got fire insurance, bro. It's a wrap. I just gotta take the L on the chin, and I'm not trying to do that. Bro, I'm in the middle of trying to make that work right now. Get my insurance right. Yeah, I don't know."

In other news, Kick streamer Adin Ross teamed up with the Stake-backed platform to give away $50,000 to a Los Angeles firefighter who reportedly lost his housing while having a family to take care of.
