Controversial Kick streamer Adin Ross has garnered attention on social media after he said he would laugh at those who tell them their pronouns in person. During a livestream on August 18, 2024, Adin Ross claimed there were "certain types" of individuals who "hated his guts" on X. Asserting that "these" individuals do not go outside because they "get bullied," the indefinitely banned Twitch personality remarked:
"You know, right now there's a certain type of Twitter (individuals) who hate my guts. Right? Legit, hate my guts. Right? And you wonder why, and it's like, these are the types of people you don't ever see outside. Do you guys know why they don't go outside? Because if they go outside, they're going to get bullied."
Adin Ross then described what he would do if someone told him their pronouns in person:
"If somebody is trying to tell me their pronouns in person, I'm just going to laugh. It's not going to work that way. I'm sorry, but it doesn't work that way. And I blame lockdown for making people mentally confused and mentally ill over to what to call themselves. You know?"
Adin Ross refers to pronouns as "clan tags," and says they originated in Call of Duty
Adin Ross continued the conversation, claiming that he has "no problems" with transgender people. He then referred to pronouns as "clan tags," saying they originated in Call of Duty.
He elaborated:
"I have no problems with transgenders. I think you can be a man and you can go to a woman if that's what you feel like that's what you want to do with your body, what you want to do. But when you start wanting to referring to yourself as 50 different f**king clan tags and s**t, it doesn't make sense. You know, pronouns started back when they were clan tags. I don't know how many of you guys f**king played Call of Duty back then. That's where it really started. Okay?"

The Kick ambassador believed that having pronouns in social media bios is the same as having "clan tags":
"I don't want to hear no bulls**t saying that, like... it's all clan tags at the end of the f**king day. It really is, though. Think about it, chat. It really is a f**king clan tag to have s**t in your bio. Like, I swear to god, I'm not even trolling."
In other news, alleged court documents have surfaced on social media, suggesting that Adin Ross hired his former security guard, Ant, without checking his criminal record.
