On November 23, 2024, Caleb "Oompaville" uploaded a two-and-a-half hour-long interview with Jimmy "MrBeast," during which he questioned the Kansas native about the various allegations that have been making rounds lately. Despite the seemingly frank interview, netizens criticized Oompaville, claiming that he overlooked a lot of the allegations, which have remained unanswered.

Yesterday (December 2, 2024), Oompaville took to his YouTube channel to respond to this backlash. The YouTuber acknowledged most of the criticism, stating that he did not intend it to upset people. He explained:

"My philosophy was I'm gonna let him say what he wants and this is going to be his form of response. If he is a hypocrite, and people can prove him to be a hypocrite, so be it. I don't have the 'dog' in me, the journalistic integrity dog. The genius guy who can remember things that matter."

He also added that he "missed" a lot of questions, saying:

"I didn't mean for it to be bad. I wanted it to be a meaningful source of information that people can watch and then fact check it themselves. I didn't intend for this to be the end of the conversation. I didn't go with an agenda. I missed a lot of questions, so I get 99.9% of the criticism."

Oompaville explained the reason behind the seemingly underwhelming interview with MrBeast, revealing that Jimmy had arrived on very short notice, leaving him with little time to prepare. He said:

"I spent more time in Unity the day that MrBeast came to my house than I did in preparing in any meaningful way."

He added how Jimmy arrived at his house within 15 minutes of landing, which was unexpected:

"He called me announcing that he was getting on a flight and would be at my home in three hours. North Carolina is about a three-hour flight, from there to Texas. I didn't know if he was gonna land in DFW and drive to me, and it takes about a couple of hours. When he landed, it was 15 minutes."

The interview with MrBeast is still available on Oompaville's channel. Despite the criticism, Jimmy addressed many of the allegations during the conversation. However, the biggest takeaway from the interview was Jimmy announcing his intention to file a legal case against DogPack404, a creator, who has made accusations against him.
