Twitch streamer Pirate Software, also known as Thor, has addressed his removal from the OnlyFangs World of Warcraft Hardcore guild on X. His response, dated January 15, 2025, came on the same day he was kicked out of the guild amid accusations of "roaching" in the game after seemingly allowing two other characters to die.
Addressing his removal from the OnlyFangs guild, Pirate Software expressed his disappointment and discussed the harassment he has faced online ever since:
"This OnlyFangs stuff actually sucks. Lots of weird attack posts and people taking it too far. Putting everything in one place and washing my hands of it after this."
He then discussed the incident that sparked the controversy, disputing claims from streamers like Sodapoppin that he could have saved his guildmates:
"To start, here is the response about the Dire Maul run. From my perspective, I didn't feel I could save anyone else with the resources I had left, even with mana gem and robe cooldowns. Since the call to run was made, I followed the call and got out as quickly as possible."
The Twitch star defended his actions by stating that he was following the "shot-caller" and alleged that fellow streamer Yamatosdeath had made him a scapegoat:
"In every other instance where shit has hit the fan the shot-caller has called specific targets we locked in and nobody died. If you call RUN RUN RUN then everything after that is a shitshow. Yamato pinned the entire thing on me despite everyone making mistakes and this rapidly spiraled into attacks both on and offline."
"Was fun running together": Pirate Software bids goodbye to OnlyFangs guild after getting kicked out due to World of Warcraft drama
Pirate Software has been vocal about the hate he and his moderators have received since the drama began. Even Sodapoppin has criticized viewers who have continuously demanded the streamer's punishment, suggesting that they went too far.
Pirate Software has said that he received messages, including death threats, on social media and other platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. He noted that he had continued playing World of Warcraft Hardcore with the OnlyFangs guild and tried to mitigate the hate by getting certain individuals banned.
In his X post, Pirate Software noted that a fellow guild member had apparently berated him during their World of Warcraft playthrough:
"Despite all of this I kept running with the guild and kept doing dungeons with people. Got my UBRS key, had runs that were fun, and had some clutch moments as well. Then, during an UBRS run another creator in the group sh*t-talked me the entire run and spoke many times about wanting to start a fight with me over voice For Content.'"
The streamer stated that he had "bluntly" informed the player that he would report such behavior:
"I was pissed about this and said bluntly to the community that I would be reporting anyone that does things like this. Not just anyone covering the situation, anyone specifically targeting me to make 'Content' out of it by directly disrupting our broadcast."
He also criticized some OnlyFangs members for allegedly using the drama to generate content:
"This was posed as a 'Content Guild' which to me meant we were crafting stories and narratives around our characters and achievements. Not content at any cost which this clearly has become."
The Twitch star concluded by thanking the supportive guild members for the good times:
"For those in the guild that reached out to me after all of this, thank you. Was fun running together and maybe we will again one day in a different game."
Many streamers from the World of Warcraft Hardcore OnlyFangs guild have explained why Pirate Software was removed. A clip of Sodapoppin discussing the incident and seemingly justifying the removal even went viral on social media on January 15, 2025.
