TommyInnit recently announced the "launch" of his new product, a vape pen called The TommyInnit Vape by Vapely. The familiar-sounding vape pen brand appeared to be a parody of Logan Paul's recently launched controversial pre-packaged lunch product called Lunchly.

The two have been beefing online recently, with Paul even leaking their private conversations online. The post shared by TommyInnit acknowledged that the announcement of his "own product" may come off as "hypocritical" and claimed that he had been "working on" the vape pen for a couple of years:

"Now I know this might come off hypocritical after the past day... but I also have my own product to announce, I've been working on for a year or two now. Introducing... The TommyInnit Vape, by Vapely."

The post also included a link to his YouTube video titled "Something Important". Within the YouTube video's description was a link to what was supposed to be the "official" website of the vape pen, where it could be "pre-ordered."

However, clicking it leads one to the music video for Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. Such pranks, in which a masked link sends one to Rick Astley's single instead of the destination claimed, are traditionally known as a Rickroll.

With TommyInnit's YouTube video crossing 180,000 views in a day, netizens have been discussing the prank on X. Some users, such as @Dieggo on X, could not believe they had fallen prey to a Rickroll in 2024. They said:

"I just got Rick rolled… in 2024… wow."

Kick streamer Aaron "Ac7ionMan" also opined on what he deemed to be a well-executed prank, stating:

"Ngl your troll power level is high, I actually bit on this."

User @Snuggle_Kitty_ expressed their surprise at TommyInnit "instigating drama" through his post, saying:

"Very weird timeline seeing TommyInnit instigate drama but I kinda love it."

However, not everyone was on board with TommyInnit's prank, with @Y2Uchis believing it to be "cringe":

"Lowk cringe."

TommyInnit releases video on YouTube parodying Lunchly controversy

TommyInnit started the video by calling his product the "future," and stated that he was "proud" of YouTubers for taking the business world "by storm" and getting the people what they need.

This appeared to be a reference to DanTDM's viral post critiquing KSI amid the launch of Lunchly, wherein he stated that YouTubers had been creating products that did not provide much benefit to fans for the sake of generating profit.

In the video, he also called Vapely a "better-for-you" vape, which was also a reference to the marketing strategy adopted by Lunchly. Jimmy "MrBeast", a co-founder of Lunchly, has used the phrase to describe his product before. Pushing this narrative has caused much backlash online, including a critique from YouTuber and US-licensed physician, Doctor Mike.
