Popular YouTuber and Twitch streamer Charlie "MoistCr1TiKaL" has addressed the online community after reports of his indefinite hiatus recently went viral. For those out of the loop, on July 31, 2024, a post made on Patreon suggested that MoistCr1TiKaL had made an "immediate" decision to leave both The Official Podcast and Red Thread.

It was also announced that the Florida native "wants to go on an indefinite hiatus":

"Effective immediately, Charlie has made the decision to leave both the Official Podcast and Red Thread. He wants to go on an indefinite hiatus to scale back his time spent on the internet."

The next day (August 1, 2024), the content creator took to his official YouTube channel to upload a video titled, MoistCr1TiKaL Situation is Crazy. Saying that he "didn't know" that he was "retiring," the 29-year-old remarked:

"So let's start with the most recent (drama) one today. My retirement. I didn't know I was retiring, that's news to me. I'm as shocked as you all are."

Claiming that "everyone" believed that he was "quitting the internet," MoistCr1TiKaL said:

"Apparently, and I didn't know this until I posted the video, everyone was under the impression that I was quitting the internet. So, I started scratching the hair on my chinny chin, wondering when the f**k did that happen?!
"Was I sleepwalking? Do I have some anomalism? Is this some kind of, like, you know, Fight Club situation, but instead of, like, Tyler Durdan, I have f**king Charles Turdin here that's just making wrong announcements?"

MoistCr1TiKaL explains why he decided to part ways with The Official Podcast and Red Thread

At the one-minute mark of the YouTube video mentioned above, MoistCr1TiKaL explained why he left The Official Podcast and Red Thread, claiming that he realized he was "chronically online."

He elaborated:

"Turns out the patient zero behind all of this was a post Jackson made announcing that I would be leaving the podcasts. Which is something I thought about periodically for quite a few months now. Mainly because I started to recognize that I was becoming the very thing I'd make fun of, with being chronically online."

The streamer added that he wanted to "scale back" the amount of time he spent on the internet:

"Like, I just was always online, and the podcasts were a big proponent of that. I just kind of wanted to scale back the amount of time I spend online."

In other news, controversial Rumble streamer Nico "Sneako" has commented on the viral reports about MoistCr1TiKaL's situation, expressing hope that the latter "find[s] god."
