Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo is known for breaking records on the field, and his latest venture was no less historic. The current Al-Nassr FC forward launched his first-ever YouTube channel, which ended up amassing over 60 million subscribers within the first month. This led many to speculate whether he could surpass Jimmy "MrBeast" in subscriber count.
At the time of writing, MrBeast has 318 million followers, while Ronaldo has 63 million. Despite the major gap in the numbers, MrBeast was recently asked about the possibility of the Portuguese overtaking him. He said this (via ImPaulsive Podcast):
"If there was someone who would pass me, it would be Ronaldo. Ronaldo gained 60 million subscribers last month. I broke the world record for most subs gained in a month - it was 20 million and two months later Ronaldo comes on and three Xs it. This platform has existed for 15 years, I shattered the record and Ronaldo just three Xs it in his first month."
Logan Paul, the co-host of ImPaulsive, asked MrBeast if he would be "disappointed" if Ronaldo were to surpass him in the subscriber count. To this, Jimmy said:
"I mean, I'm not going down without a fight. We'll see. I mean, Messi, let's go!"
MrBeast vs Cristiano Ronaldo - who is gaining subscribers faster?
Cristiano Ronaldo's entry into the YouTube scene has been nothing short of historic, as he has already broken multiple records. His growth has been steady, although many have speculated whether he has what it takes to surpass MrBeast.
At the time of writing, Cristiano Ronaldo's official YouTube channel averages around 240K new subscribers each day. In comparison, MrBeast's channel gains around 166K subscribers each day. So, at the moment, the Portuguese icon has a faster growth rate.

Ronaldo has also had a better last 30 days in terms of subscriber growth. According to SocialBlade, his channel gained over seven million subscribers, while MrBeast's channel gained five million during the same period.
However, it's worth noting that Ronaldo's growth has declined since the channel's launch, while MrBeast's growth has remained steady. This suggests that it could take the football legend a long time to catch up to Jimmy (MrBeast), if at all.
