YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and League of Legends player Drew Timbs aka "Midbeast" revealed a rather concerning incident involving his trip to Brazil (the streamer had gone to participate in an esports tournament). The streamer shed light on being robbed and assaulted during one of his walks around the city. The streamer explained that he wasn't entirely "comfortable" and had a sense that he was "being followed" before the incident.

Midbeast explained that while he had kept his phone hidden, he had to take it out momentarily to book his Uber:

"The whole time I had my phone in my underwear. Not in my pockets, in my underwear. Wasn't bringing it out, wasn't flopping it around or anything... I ordered the Uber, I put it back in my pants. I'm looking around, scanning, every time, I'm in a place where I feel secure. As I know my Uber should be arriving, I grab it (his phone), look around, and bang, I'm struck with such a force, I couldn't believe."

Midbeast talked about a rather unfortunate incident he faced during his visit to São Paulo, Brazil. The streamer revealed getting assaulted and having his phone stolen. After stating that he was hit, he explained further:

"Still don't know where this person came from. I felt like the whole time I was being followed. I didn't feel safe there. I could see people looking at me. I got the Uber out (application), bang, and the phone's taken and obviously, it's unlocked. The Uber arrived quickly after that and I could barely see the guy. He's gone so fast."

The Twitch streamer also divulged that the thief had gotten access to his emails and other personal details:

"I've got security and stuff but they're professionals. This is what they do and I can see they are starting to get into banks. All my emails are gone."

He also added that the police offered little assistance. Fortunately for the streamer, Team Liquid was able to help him out and book him a flight home the following day.

Midbeast has updated that he has gained control of some of the data, but is still "battling" to secure the compromised data.
