"I'm ready": IShowSpeed responds to Polish Olympian Ewa Swoboda's racing challenge

YouTube star IShowSpeed has responded to a viral clip of Polish sprinter Ewa Swoboda challenging him to a race later this month. For context, a clip of the Olympian talking about potentially racing the content creator went viral on August 7, 2024. In the video, the track and field star talked about how the streamer claimed to have never lost a race and expressed interest in taking him on.

IShowSpeed himself seems to be down for the challenge. On his alternate account on X, the content creator shared a screenshot showcasing a DM he sent to Swoboda on Instagram, in which he asked her:

"You wanna race me?"

IShowSpeed is known for his soccer-oriented streams and has collaborated with various athletes from different sports in the past. Recently, the YouTuber met up with the Miami Dolphins NFL team after being invited by Tyreek Hill.

The content creator even teased that he would be racing Hill after telling his audience that the professional footballer is supposed to be one of the fastest players in the league. However, Hill turned down his request for a race.

That said, it seems the streamer might be on the verge of fulfilling his wish to race a professional athlete after Polish runner Ewa Swoboda, who is representing her country in the 2024 Paris Olympics, seemingly issued a challenge to him.

In the clip, Swoboda explained that her parents told her about IShowSpeed after they came across one of his videos, in which he reacted to her racing. In the video, the content creator claimed that he had never lost a race.

That is when the Olympian extended an invitation to the streamer, noting that if he were to come to Poland and participate in the upcoming RMF FM Radio Contest, he would be able to compete in a race against her. The race is scheduled to take place on August 24, 2024.

While the YouTuber was in Europe for many weeks during the UEFA Euros, he has returned to his home in the United States.

Swoboda also noted that since IShowSpeed had already visited Poland during that time, the chances of him coming to the country anytime soon are slim.
