Twitch star Kai Cenat has made his opinions very clear on whether Darren "IShowSpeed" can beat him in a 1v1 basketball match. Cenat recently appeared as a guest on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast. During their conversation, Sharpe claimed IShowSpeed referred to the New Yorker as "not very good" at basketball.
He elaborated:
"So, let me ask you a question - he said that you are not very good. He said he'd cook you in basketball, too. He said he'd cook you... he said he'd cook you, though. He said he's a better athlete. I've seen him backflipping and he's racing Noah Lyles."
Cenat responded, stating that he had never played basketball with IShowSpeed. While admitting that the latter is athletic, he remarked:
"We never played played basketball! Nah, he is athletic. I ain't going to lie... yeah, yeah, he's very athletic, but he ain't cutting me in no basketball, though! (Shannon Sharpe responds, 'He said he would, though.') I don't think so. We would have to play a couple. Bro, I played in the NBA! I shot 100% from the field! I'm an LBA (Little Ballers Association) Champion! Literally, I was cooking them little n****s! I'm telling you, bruh."
When Shannon Sharpe mentioned that Kai Cenat played basketball against seven-year-olds, the two-time Streamer of the Year replied:
"They're almost 13, though! Like, they're right there. Damn, they're adults, bruh! Get them out in here. Cooking them. This is what they signed up for. They knew exactly the rules and regulations that was in the LBA."

Kai Cenat comments on his recent heated feud with xQc on Shannon Sharpe's podcast
At the one-hour-40-minute mark of the recent episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast, Shannon Sharpe brought up Kai Cenat's heated feud with Twitch and Kick streamer Felix "xQc."
For context, on December 21, 2024, Kai Cenat called out xQc for criticizing him for collaborating with celebrities on his stream. He also chastised the latter for bragging about his wealth to others, implying that he was wealthier than the French-Canadian personality.
xQc eventually responded to Cenat by claiming his net worth was more than the entire AMP crew in "one USB stick."
In response to Shannon Sharpe's comment, Kai Cenat stated that he does not have a beef with the former Overwatch pro anymore. Furthermore, the content creator stated that the situation between the two resulted from a "little misunderstanding":
"Nah, we don't have beef. Yeah, we worked it out. I think it was a little misunderstanding, and it was just, like, it's not worth it because he and me are really cool. So, yeah, we definitely got to speak. You know, it's crazy because a lot of things could be prevented, like, offline communication. We definitely got to where we're cool."
