Twitch streamer Hasan "HasanAbi" has addressed his community after a wildfire reportedly started near his house in Los Angeles, California. During a livestream on January 8, 2024, the political commentator watched ABC7's live conversation about the wildfire that was threatening the Hollywood Hills.

HasanAbi's attention was drawn to a live viewer, who advised him to "get ready" because the wildfire could quickly spread. In response, the Turkish-American personality stated that he was prepared to evacuate his residence:

"It's being pushed South by the Northern winds, 10 minutes ago. But, it's now saying the fire is moving significantly up the hill. Oh, wait! I have Watch Duty, yes. I am monitoring it from Watch Duty. No, it's going South. 'It will spread, dude, get ready.' I'm ready to go. I have my stuff packed. I am prepared."

The content creator then commented on the housing density at Hollywood Hills:

"You don't understand, like, this is not what the Hill looks like. Okay? The amount of houses that are there, the amount of apartments that are there, is crazy!"

A few moments later, HasanAbi announced that his fellow Twitch streamers Will Neff and Caroline Kwan would have to evaluate from their home because the wildfire was nearby:

"Runyon Canyon is all apartments. Will and Caroline are most likely to come here now. They're evacuating here, but I told him, like, we might have to evacuate as well, potentially from here, if this spreads even further. I don't think so, but you never know."

"Safety above all" - Valkyrae updates the online community amid the wildfire in Los Angeles, California

On the same day (January 8, 2025), Rachell "Valkyrae" announced that her week-long marathon with Brittany "Cinna" had been postponed due to the streaming venue being in the "danger zone" of the California wildfire.

The 100 Thieves co-owner stated:

"The Airbnb that we had booked and were prepping for the marathon that was supposed to start tomorrow, it's actually in the fire zone. So, unfortunately, we have to reschedule. Also, power is going out!"

Later that day, Valkyrae posted an update on X, stating that she was "okay" but "staying cautious." Advising Los Angeles residents not to wait until the last minute to evacuate, the 33-year-old posted:

"We are ok but staying cautious! LA friends and family, please don't wait until the last minute to evacuate, the watch duty app has been so helpful keeping track of all the fires and evacuations zones. Safety above all."

In addition to HasanAbi and Valkyrae, OfflineTV (OTV) member Lily "LilyPichu" announced on X that she had evacuated, describing the situation in Los Angeles as "truly frightening."
