Popular Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" has criticized Blizzard Entertainment for adding a "gay chair" in World of Warcraft. During a livestream on May 29, 2024, the content creator came across Redditor u/Ok_Transition_2070's post on his official subreddit, titled:
"The virtue signaling this company does sometimes is truly crazy, especially given their history."
This post linked to another page displaying the Trading Post items for June 2024. One of the items was a toy named "Colorful Beach Chair," which cost 200 Trader's Tenders. Commenting on this in-game collectible, Asmongold remarked:
"What is this? What happened? They made a gay chair? Oh, because of Pride Month. That's crazy! I wonder if they have this one in... did they advertise this? Like, can you play WoW in the Middle East?"

A few moments later, the One True King (OTK) co-founder stated he did not "respect" Blizzard Entertainment's decision. He elaborated:
"I also have the right not to respect it whenever they have the World Cup for Overwatch in Saudi Arabia. I'm sorry, I don't respect this at all! I don't think Blizzard gives a f**k about gay people. I don't think they care about LGBTQ. I don't think they care about any of this."
