YouTube livestreamer Darren "IShowSpeed" came to the defense of fellow YouTuber Olajide "KSI's" newest single, Thick of It, after it became popular online due to its incoporation within memes. IShowSpeed reviewed the song during his latest broadcast on YouTube, titled "sick of it", and claimed that the song was not as bad as netizens were making it out to be.
This comes just days after a clip emerged of IShowSpeed seemingly reacting repulsively after accidentally playing KSI's music during a livestream. Now, showcasing support for KSI's music in his newest stream, the 19-year-old streamer stated:
"KSI, look, you my boy, you feel me?... I'm not even about to meatride, or none of that. I'ma give it my honest review. Yo, bro, y'all probably going to hate me, but, I don't think it's trash, chat. I deada** don't think it's trash!"

After claiming that the song was not as bad as it was being portrayed by users online, IShowSpeed stated that it sounded similar to something that would be played by Fortnite content creator Nicholas "Nick Eh 30" while he is in "his CVC Honda". Going further, IShowSpeed also admitted that the single was a "Disney Channel song":
"I'mma be completely honest, I don't think it's a trash song! Obviously, obviously, yes, chat, it does sound like a Disney Channel song"
Just a few days prior, IShowSpeed had ended up accidentally playing the song in the midst of his Outlast 2 YouTube broadcast from October 3, 2024. He could then be heard angrily exclaiming:
"Turn that sh** off. Turn that sh** off!"
KSI's song has garnered 4.8 million views on YouTube just after three days of it being released, even attracting reactions from popular internet personalities such as Jake Paul, who went as far as to call the song "sh**".
On the other side, YouTuber and Twitch creator ImDontai advised KSI not to pay heed to the online comments regarding his music and not let people "get to him".
