Twitch and Kick streamer Felix "xQc" has weighed in on the recent controversy involving Tyler1's girlfriend Macaiyla. For context, Macaiyla made some contentious remarks involving the LGBTQ community (while even dragging her boyfriend's name into it). This has sparked a lot of backlash against her; so much so that she ended up issuing an apology for her comments online.
xQc, however, appeared particularly pleased during his latest stream (August 3, 2024). He labeled the situation as Macaiyla getting "canceled" for the comments she made. A visibly jubilant Felix stated:
"I woke up and I just felt very sad. So many things were just bad and sad and I opened up Twitter on my phone and chat, I am not kidding, Macaiyla canceled. Chat, I used to pray for times like these."
The Kick streamer continued expressing that he had "tears of joy":
"I cannot tell you the excitement that I had. Chat, it was hard to hold back. I had tears of joy. Holy sh*t. Finally! Boom! Chat, that's a Twitter max win! Macaiyla canceled as soon as I woke up? I can't."
What is the controversy involving Macaiyla and Tyler1?
xQc was certainly jubilant following the recent controversy involving Macaiyla. For those not in the loop, the controversy stemmed from Macaiyla's comments about the recent Olympic Games drama concerning Imane Khelif.
After an X user, seemingly from the LGBTQ community, called her out for her comments, Tyler1's girlfriend wrote,
"He (Tyler1) doesn't like you people (referring to the trans community) either."
This incident naturally appeared transphobic to many. On top of that, she dragged Tyler1's name into it, which garnered even more backlash. She has since issued an apology to both the trans community and her boyfriend.
"I would also like to apologize to Tyler for speaking on his behalf out of pure ignorance and the heat of the moment. It's wrong of me to want to spread hate through someone else's mouth."
Tyler1 has also commented on the situation, stating that his name was unwillingly dragged in. He apologized to his fans and reassured them that his community is a safe space for everyone.
