Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" (or "zackrawrr") has announced that he will be stepping away from his leadership positions at OTK (One True King group) and StarForge Systems. The streamer announced the news in a YouTube video titled My Plans Moving Forward a day after his secondary Twitch account, zackrawrr, was banned.
This revelation comes after his recent Palestine controversy, and the streamer claimed in his video that he had let a lot of people down with his negative actions in the recent past:
"I think that I've negatively affected a lot of them and I also don't want to talk about that just in the context of just like this recent controversy. Uh, I want to talk about this in the context of the last two years I think that I haven't really been able to fulfill my responsibilities as a leader in a lot of cases to them and I think that I've let a lot of people down."
Later on in the video, Asmongold revealed his plans to step down from the top positions in OTK and StarForge:
"I'm going to take a step back from all of that. I'm going to step away from my leadership position and otk and StarForge and everything. I want to and they're fine with with that, they respect that and I want to do this."
"It's been too much": Asmongold explains why he is stepping down from leadership positions in esports and content organizations

As a veteran Twitch streamer who has been on the platform for about 10 years, Asmongold has come to be known as quite a popular figure in the gaming and video-game-adjacent content creation industry. To that end, he was part of the Austin-based group of content creators who founded OTK or One True King in 2020.
Since founding the content group, Asmongold and some other OTK members have expanded into other areas such as video game publishing (Mad Mushrooom) and pre-built PCs (StarForge Systems). However, it seems that after the recent controversy surrounding his comments about Palestinians and Gaza, Asmongold has gained insights into how it has affected his life.
The Twitch streamer claims that being involved with so many organizations was too much for him:
"I think that ever since I started OTK and I got involved with that and then we had other StarForge and Mad Mushroom, and Mythic and everything, honestly, it's been too much for me to handle. It's been completely too much for me to handle. I've been losing my mind dealing with it and I try to hide it the best I can."
He did note that he has had some positive input into these organizations but also revealed how the recent Palestine controversy opened his eyes to the state of his life. Claiming that he needed to fix himself, Asmongold explained that he wanted to step back from his leadership duties as his life was in shambles:
"There have been things that I've done that are positive as well but I think that one thing this thing has taught me this whole situation has taught me it's made me realize is that um I need to get myself in check I need to get my mind under control I need to like just get my life to I need to fix my f**king life. It's insane like I think about it and it's just, it's in shambles. Uh, everything about my life is basically f**ked."
Readers should note that Asmongold has not stated that he is leaving OTK or the other organizations. He has merely talked about stepping down from leadership positions.
