Kick CEO Ed "Eddie" Craven has addressed Adin Ross' recent absence from the livestreaming platform. On November 30, 2024, a video of Craven's interaction with Jared "JaredFPS" surfaced on X, in which the Australian billionaire commented on Ross' hiatus from content creation.

Sharing his thoughts on whether the 24-year-old would switch platforms and broadcast elsewhere, Craven said:

"Right now, Adin is taking a break from streaming. You know, if he chooses to stream elsewhere, you know, I think that's fine. That's up to him. Obviously, incredibly valued member of Kick, being one of the first people to move over. You know, brought a lot of people over, which is you know, something we respect."

While describing Ross' community as "amazing," Craven stated that the streamer is controversial but is someone who "set the standard for what livestreaming looks like":

"That's up to him, he's a creator, he's got all the opportunities out there, he can do what he wants, and I think, you know, more power to him whatever he chooses to him. He's obviously got an amazing community, huge following, an incredibly loyal one. You know, he's a relatively controversial streamer, but I think he's also someone who set the standard for what livestreaming looks like today. There are thousands of streamers that are streaming the type of content based on what Adin did."

Kick CEO Ed Craven claims internet stars like Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed garnered popularity because they collaborated with Adin Ross

The conversation continued, with Ed Craven claiming that streamers such as Kai Cenat and Darren "IShowSpeed" gained popularity in the content creation and livestreaming spheres as a result of their collaborations with Adin Ross.

He elaborated:

"It's no secret that Kai Cenat, right, started off on Adin Ross' e-dates almost. Right? And, you know, IShowSpeed even came up on the back of Adin. So, he has done a lot for the industry. You know, and I think he's got the potential to be one of the largest streamers if he puts his mind to it and works really hard, and makes great content."

Craven then spoke out about the possibility of Ross leaving Kick:

"You know, I hope that he does that on Kick. If he chooses to go elsewhere, then that's fine, too. I think that's up to him. At the end of the day, I'm a big believer that at any point a platform is reliant on anybody, that's dangerous. So, we've got to be happy to have people come and go."

In other news, on November 29, 2024, fans began speculating that Adin Ross would return to Twitch after he told FaZe Lacy he was "coming home" over a phone call.
