YouTube content creator Darren "IShowSpeed" has recently stated his belief that he will be able to train for and perform in the upcoming Olympics 2028, which will be taking place in Los Angeles, United States. While three years are left before the event, Speed has claimed that it would take him only one to be able to train enough to perform.

While conversing with former NFL player Shannon Sharpe, IShowSpeed stated:

"I believe that I can be in Olympics for 2028. I believe that."

Sharpe then asked him:

"So, are you going to train to try and be in the Olympics in 2028."

To this, IShowSpeed nonchalantly replied:

"I got three years, man. All it takes for me is one year. All it takes for me is on year to- A full year of training for me... I already got the speed. Like, it's already in my legs, I just don't got the technique. I have no technique. If I learn the technique, its over."

IShowSpeed expresses his interest in participating in Los Angeles Olympics 2028

IShowSpeed is an athletic streamer, often showing off his ability to land perfect backflips during his broadcasts. In fact, he even tried to break the world record for the most backflips ever done within a day but had to stop midway.

On the other hand, Speed is seen pushing himself to his physical limit by competing with players of various fields, including football, and even relatively obscure sports like Gaelic football. With his love for football being quite evident, he has also been an active participant in the Sidemen charity matches, often playing alongside other creators within the event.

IShowSpeed seems poised to take matters to the next level, with him attempting to legitimize his athletic talent by wanting to partake in the Olympics. However, fans have already gotten a preview of what they could expect if the streamer were to actually end up being a part of the event.

This came in the form of his race against Olympic Gold medalist Noah Lyles. The latter narrowly beat IShowSpeed in a 50m sprint race organized by MrBeast in early November 2024.
