The streamer's clip was posted on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit, where more than 705 netizens chimed in with their thoughts. Redditor u/orderinthefort was surprised by how much money Parasite made from livestreaming, speculating that content creators with 300 to 500 viewers could earn $240,000 a year just from ad revenue:

"Insane that 300-500 viewer streamers can make $240k a year in ad revenue alone if they stream 10-12 hours a day. If they decided to take two months off 'work', they'd still be making $200k a year in just ad revenue. Sure if you're that small you risk losing CCV when you take a long break, but still," commented Redditor u/orderinthefort.

According to one community member's calculation, Twitch streamer Parasite aired 16,230 minutes of broadcasts that included 4,080 minutes of ads:

"He ran around 4,080 minutes of ads in 16,230 minutes of streaming (272hrs) averaging 956 viewers," wrote Redditor u/MickyJohno9990.

Meanwhile, Redditor u/Pacify_ believed that the content creator's revenue was "not normal":

"This is not normal. Most sub 1k channels are not running anywhere this many ads, and most don't do any more than the automatic ones. This guy just decided to sell out to ads instead," remarked Redditor u/Pacify_.
