A clip of Twitch streamer Asmongold giving his opinion on the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip has gone viral on social media after the content creator claimed that certain people are from an inferior culture. The clip has garnered a lot of criticism online, with many viewers calling on Twitch to ban the streamer.

Many political commentators like HasanAbi and Destiny regularly speak about the problems in the Middle East. However, this is the first time Asmongold, primarily known for his video game and pop culture commentary, spoke on the issue on his alternate Twitch channel zackrawrr.

While he is known for being outspoken about his opinions, viewers have criticized how he spoke about people being "inferior" with many calling it hate speech.

"how is twitch not not banning this it's literally h@te speech," wrote @wtfolly_ on X.

Others have claimed that this merits a Twitch ban.

"Did this guy just call an entire ethnic group inferior to his? Is that not ban worthy???" asked @xavlionheart.

The clip was also shared on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit, and many Redditors echoed the need for the platform to ban Asmongold. One fan even noted how it could result in an indefinite suspension.

"I actually like Asom but this is permanent ban worthy," claimed @Crafty-Fish9264.

Others on social media websites like X have started trolling Asmongold and making fun of his room.

On the other hand, some have shown Asmongold support for his statements:

"He better not apologize! He is correct!" claimed @DrPikachu69.

Another viewer thought what the Twitch streamer said was not wrong:

"He’s not wrong. At all." wrote @Somemixedchickk.

What did Asmongold say about the ongoing conflict in Gaza?

Readers should note: Views reflected in this article are solely those of the streamer. Reader's discretion is advised.

Asmongold is a veteran Twitch streamer who made his name playing MMOs such as World of Warcraft. He plays a variety of video games and boasts over 3.5 million followers on his main channel. However, for the last couple of years, he has not used that channel as much. Instead choosing to go live on his alternate account zackrawrr.

On one of his recent livestreams on zackrawrr, the Twitch streamer started discussing the topic of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Instead of declining to comment, Asmongold took a hard stance and claimed he did not care about what's happening to people in the region.

The streamer said:

"I am not going to cry a f**king river when people who have genocide that's baked into their laws are getting genocided. I don't give a f**k, they are terrible people. It's not even a question. It's crazy that people don't see it that way. They'd be doing the same thing."

Answering a viewer's question, Asmongold continued:

"How much did they kill? As many as they can. They are not able to kill as many people as Israel because they don't have as many bombs or as many weapons. But if they did, they'd be doing the same thing. That's it."

The streamer then went on to claim that "these people" have an inferior culture and are against Western values:

"These people are not your allies, they are not the same as us. They come from an inferior culture that is horrible, it kills people for their identity and is directly antithetical to everything Western values stand for and is an inferior culture in all ways. It is that simple."

Asmongold's use of the "inferior" comment appears to be the biggest reason why the clip has gone viral on social media, garnering over a million impressions combined after X users such as @FearedBuck and @DramaAlert shared it on their accounts.
