YouTube streamer IShowSpeed got mad on stream today after some fans started to say something resembling the racial n-word slur while he was IRL streaming in the streets of Bulgaria. The 19-year-old streamer has been going around Europe over the last few weeks after he rented a place in Germany last month to watch the UEFA Euros.
IShowSpeed's most recent stream in Bulgaria dated July 11, started with him getting irritated by some of his Bulgarian fans who had allegedly started chanting a word in Bulgarian that sounds quite similar to the n-word. After dealing with it for quite some time, IShowSpeed had an outburst and even tried confronting the group of fans before turning away and going into a store while staying:
"What? Ni—, nah this s**t crazy bro! Actually such a simple f**king thing."
What is "book" in Bulgarian? Stranger claims IShowSpeed's fans are being deliberately racist on stream
It all started when a group of people who had been following IShowSpeed while he was streaming in Bulgaria started saying a word that seemed to be a homonym to the offensive racial slur n-word. The streamer was getting quite upset and wanted to clarify whether the word being used by the locals was offensive and asked a stranger in a store about it.
IShowSpeed enquired of the man what the Bulgarian word for "book" was, and the stranger replied by saying something quite different from what his fans were chanting. IShowSpeed got quite excited and asked:
"Exactly! Why are they talking about ni**a?"
The Bulgarian man claimed that people shouting that word at the streamer were being racist:
"Because they are racist, you know that?"
That said, IShowSpeed also asked another local to tell him about the word in the same stream but got a different answer. When the streamer had realized that people were using a word to chant that seemed closer to the n-word, he went ahead and asked a fan who had stepped up to him about it:
"How do you say book in Bulgarian?"
The fan replied stating:
"It's kniga"
According to Google Translate, "Книга" or "Kniga" is the top translation for the English word "book" and therefore the answer checks out. IShowSpeed, however, got agitated and shouted:
"What?!? Yo, nah, what the f**k! You can't say that s**t bro! Stop trolling."
When the fan tried to explain that the word starts with a "K", the streamer continued his meltdown:
"What do you mean 'k'? The KKK?"
Regardless, it must be noted that IShowSpeed has had a challenging time in Europe so far. Only a few days ago, he was assaulted by a mob who pulled on his hair among other things, and he was also injured in Oslo, Norway.
