Things took an emotional turn on the fifth day of the ongoing Hardcore Minecraft marathon when Darren "IShowSpeed" and Kai Cenat died in the game 97 hours into their livestream. After spending hours farming materials and mining diamonds to create the best gear possible, the two content creators faced off against the survival game's final boss, the Ender Dragon, at 97 hours and 49 minutes into the marathon.
However, their battle came to an abrupt end when Kai Cenat appeared to get killed by one of the Endermen in the arena. After the Twitch streamer died in-game, IShowSpeed threw his chair in frustration and began trashing his room.
A few moments later, Slipz, the Ohio native's cameraman, rallied the content creator, telling him that he needed to "clutch" the boss battle. Despite his best efforts to kill the Ender Dragon, IShowSpeed died after falling from one of the pillars in the arena.
Following a few moments of silence, the 19-year-old YouTuber seemed to have a breakdown, as he started hitting himself in the face and crying. At the same time, Kai Cenat became enraged and began throwing objects across his room.
Expressing his dismay at the situation, IShowSpeed said:
"Like, come on! What the f**k, Kai? What the f**k?! What the f**k, bruh?! What the f**k! (The YouTube streamer starts hitting himself again) Why does this keep f**king happening, bro? We've been here for 100 f**king hours, playing this s**t, slaving. Kai, we've been here for 100 f**king hours slaving, bro!"
He added:
"We've been f**king grinding this and this happens to us. This s**t is not funny or cool, bruh! We put our heart, sweat, blood, and tears into this this s**t, and it's still playing with us, bruh! Like, what the f**k can we do, bruh?! Kai, what else do have to f**king do to beat this game, bro?! I felt that was the one, bro! I felt that was the one, Kai. I swear to god, bro!"
