YouTube streamer Darren "IShowSpeed" seems to be on a continuing streak of inconvenient interactions with fans, as he had to dial the police to seek help after a swarm of them would not stop following his vehicle. This incident occurred during his broadcast from Greece, merely twenty minutes after going live.
The creator had barely started exploring the streets when he started getting surrounded by a large number of fans trying to meet him. Although the creator was protected by his security detail while on foot and was escorted to safety inside his car, he could not escape the large crowd that had started following his now-moving vehicle.
Seeing fans running behind his car and even riding bicycles and mopeds to keep up, IShowSpeed stated:
"Chat, we deada** just started, y'all, and it's crazy already, bro. Oh hell, oh my God, look at this, bro. There's literally fifty million kids following us. Jeez, bro! Yeah, there's no way to fasten the car."
IShowSpeed calls the Greek police after his car gets chased by fans during Greece IRL stream
IShowSpeed seemed frustrated in his latest stream on July 8, 2024, after fans kept banging on his car window and chasing his vehicle using different means of transport. After one fan knocked on the vehicle's window with force, the creator could be seen getting visibly angry.
It was then that he revealed having already paid $50,000 out of his pocket due to the damage fans had done to his transport vehicles before. While traveling to yet another location within the country, the creator's car was continuously swarmed by fans, eventually forcing him to call the local police for assistance.
Talking to an official while having individuals knocking on his car, he stated:
"So, basically, ma'am, I am a famous YouTuber... I am a famous YouTuber and famous footballer, and there's around five hundred- Oh my God, bro. Yo, oh my- Ma'am! Help! Help! Please, help! Ma'am, help!"
This is not the first time the creator has been met with a torrent of supporters, with similar behavior being exhibited by those in Norway and the Netherlands. Matters during IShowSpeed's Norway visit got so out of hand, that the creator had his hair pulled and clothes tugged forcibly while making a hasty exit through a crowd of fans.
His recent visit to Switzerland was not entirely smooth either, with him having to take the backdoor exit of a restaurant after his followers covered the entire front of the establishment.
