YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" was involved in a serious crash while trying to operate a tuk-tuk in Thailand. While learning how the driving mechanism of the tuk-tuk works, IShowSpeed seemed to put the vehicle in gear accidentally and started accelerating without being able to brake.
As the vehicle sped up, it headed for a wall straight ahead and crashed at quite a high velocity. This caused him to smash the top of his head on the interior of the tuk-tuk. Now panting for breath, the streamer could be seen holding his head in his hands while grimacing in pain.
IShowSpeed crashes tuk-tuk into wall while streaming in Thailand
IShowSpeed was caught up in the accident while receiving instructions from another individual on how to operate a tuk-tuk, a motorized vehicle featuring three wheels that is often used by locals within Thailand to traverse. The content creator is present in the country as part of his South East Asia tour, which comes after his extensive tour of Europe, which spanned Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, and others.
As the man taught IShowSpeed to accelerate by rotating the right handle of the tuk-tuk, the vehicle gradually started to speed up. After moving at a slow speed initially, it jerked a bit and started moving much faster. The streamer, taken aback by the vehicle's movement, said:
"Oh sh**. Oh sh**. Wait, hold on. Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!"
Right after, the vehicle started accelerating much faster and went out of control, heading straight for the wall of the building right in front of him. Afterward, he immediately jumped out of the vehicle. Soon after, he bent down to the floor with his head in his hands while panting loudly, visibly in pain.
The streamer's first day in Thailand was quite eventful, as IShowSpeed also nearly had another mishap while riding an elephant in the tropical country. While IShowSpeed was atop the elephant, the handler instructed it to stand up on its hind legs, causing the streamer to lose his balance and fall over as the elephant came back down.
