IShowSpeed has been to multiple countries, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia, as part of his Southeast Asia streaming series. A highlight of the trip so far was his first visit to the Philippines, where he had a sparring session with Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. Despite starting playfully, the match ended with Speed being knocked down twice.
Most recently, Speed revisited the country after promising his fans that he'd return if they helped him reach a subscriber goal. Excited, the streamer stepped outdoors and was almost instantly surrounded by fans. Soon, he was encouraged to try local food.
The streamer had no clue what some of the dishes he was being presented with were. He went along with the crowd's energy and ate the food, only asking questions later:
"What did you say? It's a what? ('It's a pig's brain... it's yummy', said a local food vendor) That's not like the 'meow meow' joke right? It's not a joke, right? You not playing with me, right? ('No sir', said the vendor)."
When this happened, IShowSpeed was with Lincoln "Convy TV" Velasquez, a well-known Filipino YouTuber known for his humorous skits, vlogs, and gaming videos. Convy brought an untimely revelation to the streamer, stating that he'd also consumed pig testicles:
"The other one is the testicles... I'm sorry, I'm so sorry ('Why the f*ck you ain't say nothing?!', asked Speed) I'm so sorry ('Testicles? Balls?... Hell nah,' said Speed)."
His fans taunted him by laughing and pointing at their genitalia. The streamer then made a quick exit from the area, maneuvering his way through the crowd.
IShowSpeed swarmed by fans in the Philippines during a chaotic livestream
IShowSpeed had a tough second visit to the Philippines, considering the number of fans he had to deal with.
His visit to Cebu City faced setbacks, as he had to cut his broadcast short due to connectivity issues. Additionally, the overwhelming support from local fans made it difficult for him to move freely, resulting in a less-than-ideal experience for his audience. These challenges left many of his viewers disappointed with the stream.
Some fans would block his path or prevent the vehicle he was in from moving. Regardless, as of this writing, the stream has over 3.4 million views, and Speed gained over 20,000 new channel subscribers during the broadcast.
In related news, viewers reacted to IShowSpeed assisting a lost fan by getting them water during his IRL stream in Malaysia.
