Popular YouTube streamer Darren "IShowSpeed" is currently traveling around Europe, watching the Euros and interacting with a huge fan following. While most interactions have been wholesome, a few have left the streamer feeling uncomfortable.
In his most recent stream, Speed was in the country of Bulgaria, where he was surrounded by a lot of his adoring fans, all of them vying for a handshake or a hug. Amidst the crowd, one person arrived in a car, got out, and went to greet the streamer. While initially they shook hands, the man then leaned in and kissed IShowSpeed on his face.
The streamer was visibly shocked and shouted in surprise:
“What the f*ck was that?”
The man then apologized for his actions, saying:
“I love you, bro, I am sorry.”
However, the streamer wasn’t having any of it, and he stepped into the same car the man stepped out of with a look of disgust on his face. Before entering, IShowSpeed said:
“The f*ck, man? Is that what you do out here?”
The clip has left many fans concerned about the streamer’s well being. Several of them deemed the interaction to be sexual assault, since he was kissed without his consent. They took to X to voice their concerns.

“Bro got SA’d live in front of 200K people and everyone was probably laughing. this stuff ain’t a joke.”
User @yuhinka agreed and said:
“That’s s*xual assault…”
Many took the incident as another example of racism in Europe, which may look different than in the US, but persists regardless. One person, @Dubswrld30, was of the following opinion:
“But I was told America is the most racist country, but from what I’ve seen from these streams Europeans a different breed.”
IShowSpeed also had several other discomforting interactions with fans while traveling in Europe
The above wasn’t the only unsavory interaction that IShowSpeed had while traveling. A few days ago, while in Poland, one person called the streamer the “n-word,” seemingly replying to Speed’s greeting to him.
He also had a particularly shocking experience in Norway on July 3, where he was mobbed by fans and got severely injured as a result. He was also assaulted by some of his “fans,” with many pulling his shirt and his hat.
With a few days still left of his European tour, one hopes the rest of his travels are free of such harrowing incidents.
